Background & Training
A native Texan, Dr. Silvertooth received an undergraduate
degree from Baylor University, then her medical degree
from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Following
medical school she completed residency training in the combined Internal
Medicine and Psychiatry program at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr.
Silvertooth remained at Duke on faculty in the departments
of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry after completing residency, and served
in various capacities including teaching physician for both departments
and associate director for the residency program. Like most Texans,
Dr. Silvertooth could not stay away from Texas for long, and thus returned
in 2006.
She had been working as a medicine hospitalist at St.
David’s prior to opening her practice.
Interests & Hobbies
As a former member of the Baylor University Track and Field team, Dr.
Silvertooth is quite partial to Baylor sports. However, as an Austinite
and Longhorn spouse, she is a diehard UT fan--when the Bears are not
in town. Dr. Silvertooth enjoys spending time outdoors in the beautiful
Texas hill country, and in her free time is an avid swimmer.
